Kelly Ripa was appalled to see her husband, Mark Consuelos, back in action during a recent episode of LIVE! With Kelly & Mark. Not only did he just have surgery, but there was also an emergency at home he had to take care of. Keep reading to find out what is going on with Kelly and Mark and why Kelly was shocked to see her husband.
Mark Consuelos Back On TV
Mark and Kelly haven’t had an easy week! As previously reported, Mark had to have surgery on his toe. Apparently, he was in a lot of pain after getting serious arthritis. However, that’s not all they have going on – and yet Mark still reported for duty for a new episode of LIVE! With Kelly & Mark.
“I made it!” Mark says before explaining, “You know, we were giving the over-under whether or not I’d be here. I thought for sure there was a 90 percent chance I wouldn’t be here,” he says.
So, what else do they have going on? According to Yahoo!, Kelly explains that they are also dealing with a sick pet. Apparently, the night before Mark’s big return, their dog got sick and kept him up all night.
“I didn’t think you should be here,” Kelly said upon seeing Mark enter. She jokes that their dog didn’t like seeing Mark get so much attention for his recovery so she got sick too.
“Our dog was up all night with diarrhea because she has main character syndrome, and since Mark was getting a lot of attention, she was like, ‘Hold my beer.’”
“I felt so bad for her,” Mark says. “But like clockwork, every 90 minutes, she had to go outside.”
Despite this, Mark was still on the show even if he did wheel in on a scooter.
Kelly Exposes Him
During the episode, Kelly was sure to tell everyone about how Mark was acting after his surgery. Apparently, he was a little confused about what was going on.
Not only did the star continue to ask when his surgery would start even though it was already done, but he also didn’t even know who Kelly was.
‘Who are you?’ And I said, ‘I’m your wife.’ To which you replied, ‘No.’”
That’s not all he did, though, after his surgery.
He also asked the nurse if his toe was numb. After she said yes, he proceeded to say “Num, num, num, num,” as if he were eating it.
Hopefully now that the surgery is over, the couple starts to have a better week!
