New Orleans-Based ‘Santa Claus’ Arrested For Soliciting Minor

A New Orleans, Louisiana-based man, posing as Santa Claus, was just arrested for the solicitation of a minor. Seeing some holiday cheer around this time of the year is not unfounded, given the popularity of Christmas in July. However, his intentions were anything but pure. Keep reading for more details on the twisted situation.

    Santa Is Being Naughty

The one thing about Santa Claus is that kids are supposed to be able to trust him. They believe that he will be good to them, but this time, that was not the case. A man in New Orleans, Louisiana, went online in an attempt to solicit a minor boy. He does not have another moniker, as this is his legal name; yes, the 75-year-old went that far. The gent went on a dating app with the hopes of meeting someone, presumably a young male, for intimate acts. He proceeded to speak to someone whom he believed was just fifteen years old.

Little did Santa know he was actually chatting with an undercover detective. He made plans to meet this “minor” in Kenner, Louisiana, but was ultimately met by authorities. Of course, they were shocked to see that he did look just like Saint Nick:

“His physical appearance indicates he does take on the persona of the Santa Claus, which is alarming considering he was attempting to have sex with a boy.”

This was a huge operation, and Santa Claus was one of eleven people arrested at the time. Police want parents to be more vigilant when it comes to ensuring their kids are safe. They cannot let them run free on the Internet. Moreover, they cannot just trust any older person who is presenting as someone with a popular presence.

Some who heard this story had to make jokes about no toys from Santa this year. However, it is sick and twisted that anyone would tarnish the name of someone so beloved.

    Still On The Hunt

Santa Claus being arrested is a crazy story, that is for sure. At the same time, authorities are doing whatever is necessary to ensure that people who prey on children are caught. Another Santa was arrested a few months back, and one follower made a valid point. The officers needed to let children know that the “real” Santa had not been arrested. Rather, it was a bad version who was not being good for the year, or spin it in a way as to not scare children for the upcoming holiday season.
