Horror comedy Ready or Not connected with audiences during its 2019 theatrical run and has since continued to win over new fans on home video and streaming. The picture is quirky and brutal, featuring one of the most memorable final girls of the 21st century in Samara Weaving’s Grace. As luck would have it, Weaving is slated to reprise the role for the upcoming sequel, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, and she’s joined by a number of familiar faces.
People recently debuted a series of exclusive images featuring Weaving alongside co-stars Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Elijah Wood.
Sean Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, and David Cronenberg are also confirmed to appear. You can swipe through the photos via the Instagram gallery below.
Though story details for the upcoming sequel are being closely guarded at this point, we do know that the follow-up will take place directly after the first film, with Grace waking up in a hospital following the deadly game of hide and seek she was forced to participate in during the previous installment. From there, she’s tasked with playing yet another game.
Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin of Radio Silence are returning to direct the sequel. They tell people that Ready or Not 2 “goes hand in hand with the first in an unexpected yet seamless way.”
Original screenwriters Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy are back to write the script for the upcoming sequel.
The film has already completed principal photography and is slated for release on April 10, 2026.
