THE SHOCKING FINALE OF IDW’s BEST-SELLING EVENT HORIZON COMIC BOOK TRILOGY ARRIVES DECEMBER: “Heaven is real… and it’s worse than Hell.

Eisner Award-winning writer Christian Ward – the architect behind the bestselling Event Horizon prequel and sequel comics at IDW Publishing’s hit horror imprint IDW Dark – presents the jaw-dropping final chapter in his acclaimed trilogy.

Joined by master of horror artist Hernán González (John Carpenter’s Tales for a Halloween Night), EVENT HORIZON: PANDEMONIUM brings chaos and terror to comic shops this December. The haunting world of Paramount Pictures’ Event Horizon expands into other dimensions as familiar faces from the nightmarish saga reunite for a finale full of shocking twists and turns.

“It’s been such a huge honor to have been trusted with this beloved property that means so much to so many, myself included,” said Ward. “It’s no secret that when I was first invited by IDW editor Nicolas Niño to pitch what my take on Event Horizon would be, what I ended up proposing went far beyond the prequel DARK DESCENT. I pitched a trilogy that would take even wilder swings and make fans look at the 1997 film in a completely different way, and PANDEMONIUM was always the end goal. Myself and the incredible artist Hernán González are taking you even deeper into the Chaos Realm. Event Horizon will never be the same very again. All roads have been leading us here… to Heaven!”

“I’ve been drawing comics for several years and have always loved the horror genre,” stated González. “I feel truly honored to be able to bring to life everything I love through my drawings: monsters, modern machinery (specifically from the ‘90s), complex page layouts, and, above all, the darkness of the soul. I hope everyone loves these comics as much as I love making them. As we say in Argentina: ‘time to put all the meat on the grill!’”

The Chaos Realm has taken over the comic book industry and it’s easier than ever to catch up on the celebrated stories. The complete prequel tale, EVENT HORIZON: DARK DESCENT, goes on sale July 28 everywhere books are sold. The sequel series, EVENT HORIZON: INFERNO, is currently releasing, with the first three issues on sale now in comic shops and issue #4 releasing August 5.

Pre-orders for EVENT HORIZON: PANDEMONIUM are due October 19. To avoid having nightmares about missing out, fans should contact a comic shop near them to guarantee their copies.”

MARVEL’S MIDNIGHT UNIVERSE LOOMS OVER SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON WITH NEW ISSUE REVEALS!: “The light had its turn.

Just now at the Marvel Comics: Midnight Universe Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, all three Midnight writers—Jonathan Hickman, Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Benjamin Percy—shed more light on their bold titles and their shared vision for this terrifying new line. Revealed during the panel were the second issue covers for each title—MIDNIGHT SPIDER-MAN, MIDNIGHT FANTASTIC FOUR and MIDNIGHT X-MEN—along with the unveiling of additional variant covers. Attendees also received an early black and white Midnight Universe ashcan preview, which will be available at local comic shops in the near future.

MIDNIGHT X-MEN #1, MIDNIGHT FANTASTIC FOUR #1 and MIDNIGHT SPIDER-MAN #1 will have a unified launch, hitting stands together on October 7 as the only new Marvel comics released that day, a first for Marvel. The line will also introduce ongoing variant cover programs, with recurring themes across Covers labeled A-E. Bringing greater consistency and clarity to the variant cover collecting experience, this new program allows readers to choose their favorites and ensure that their local comic shop knows exactly what they’ll want, every month, without question.

Befitting the line’s ominous tone, the main covers of the MIDNIGHT titles will be presented in Cloaked Cover trade dress that conceals the full artwork until readers open the issue. With the exception of the debut issues, the full artwork will remain shrouded in shadow, only revealing themselves to those who pick them up on stands. While the newly revealed #2 covers offer a glimpse into the horrors ahead, new variant covers spotlight Iceman’s chilling new form, Peter Parker’s monstrous transformation and more.”

    Where is Peter Parker?

A new Oscorp employee is missing. An NYC teaching assistant is missing. In Queens, a municipal services tech didn’t clock in this morning. And for some reason, Oscorp defense contractors are scouring their building’s security tapes… for a spider.

Reed Richards—haunted by a past he can barely recall and a scientific breakthrough he can barely understand—begins his tenuous working relationship with Sue, Johnny, and Ben at Storm Systems. They’re about to test out one of their theories—a theory that will revisit and redefine the perils of the atomic age.

VICTORIAN MOURNING PROCESSION STUNS COMIC-CON DURING FANGORIA PANEL TO CELEBRATE BLEECKER STREET’S VICTORIAN PSYCHO: “Attendees at FANGORIA’s First in Fright panel at San Diego Comic-Con were met with an unexpected spectacle Friday night when a Victorian mourning procession overtook the room, transforming the presentation into an immersive celebration of Bleecker Street’s upcoming psychological horror-thriller, Victorian Psycho.

Produced by FANGORIA in partnership with Bleecker Street Media, the live activation unfolded moments after moderator Sean Abley welcomed the audience. The ballroom doors burst open with a bloodcurdling scream as mourners dressed in period Victorian attire silently wound through the aisles, led by a stoic figure in a towering black top hat. The eerie procession made its way toward the front of the room, leaving the audience momentarily unsure where the performance ended and reality began.

As the procession exited, Victorian Psycho director Zachary Wigon emerged, joking that the mourners “follow me everywhere” before joining the panel for a surprise conversation about the upcoming film.

Based on Virginia Feito’s acclaimed 2025 novel, Victorian Psycho stars Maika Monroe (Longlegs) as Winifred Notty, an enigmatic governess whose arrival at a remote English manor in 1858 coincides with a series of increasingly sinister disappearances. The film also stars Jason Isaacs, Ruth Wilson, and Thomasin McKenzie.

Following the guest appearance, the panel shifted to another major reveal as FANGORIA officially announced that horror icon Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Chucky) will host the 2026 FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards. The announcement drew one of the loudest ovations of the evening as Sawa joined the panel to discuss his enduring relationship with horror and preview this year’s celebration of the genre.

The 2026 FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards will premiere Sunday, October 25, streaming exclusively on Shudder.

Victorian Psycho opens in US theaters nationwide September 25, 2026.”
