‘Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Grieves Unimaginable Death

Sister Wives star Christine Brown Woolley is currently grieving an unimaginable death, which she had been writing about for some time. Although she knew it could be coming, the mother of six did not expect it to happen so soon. So, who did she lose, and when exactly did it happen? Keep reading for all of the details.

    Christine Brown Grieves Unimaginable Death

Viewers have watched as Christine Brown Woolley found herself and learned that she was not meant for polygamy. She left Flagstaff, Arizona, her sister wives and first husband, Kody Brown, all to return to Utah with her youngest daughter, Truely. While there, she met and married David Woolley, and they started businesses together. The two of them have been extremely happy, although their time has not been without tragedy. One of Christine’s children from her marriage to Kody passed away. Garrison Brown, who was the son of Kody and Janelle Brown but raised by Christine, took his own life, and that shattered everyone.

They have been working hard to move on, but it has not been easy. Now, Christine has suffered another devastating blow. On January 8th, 2026, the Sister Wives star’s father, Rex Allred, passed away at the age of 78. He was featured on the hit TLC reality series and even walked Christine down the aisle when she married David.  Per the obituary, Rex passed at home and was at peace. It is mentioned that he leaves behind a wife of 47 years, Susan, and Christine’s mother, Annie, with whom he was no longer married.

He was one of 48 and had 40 grandchildren, plus 21 great-grandchildren. Tributes poured in on the website for the obituary, but Christine Brown Woolley also shared a snap of her and her dad when she was little. Alongside that, the Sister Wives star posted a tribute to her father, which she had been compiling for some time. It seems his death came faster than anyone had expected, but she had written these words for catharsis.

    Love Pours In

After Sister Wives fans and followers saw what had happened, they immediately sent love to Christine Brown Woolley. Of course, they were heartbroken for her and her family over what had happened:

    • Sorry for your loss Christine 🩷 sending love!
    • I’m so sorry for your tremendous loss Christine ❤️
    • I’m sorry you are going through this, I am going through something a bit similar and it’s not easy ❤️
    • Losing a parent is so very difficult, even when your mourning isn’t new. Sending strength and love.

Although Christine had dealt with her father being ill for a while, she seemed to be taken aback when she finally lost him. Hopefully, he is at peace and out of any pain he was in before.

Do you remember seeing Rex on the show and him walking her down the aisle? Let us know in the comments, and watch Sister Wives Sundays on TLC.
