I’m more than happy to die on the hill that Summer House is possibly still the best series on Bravo. Year after year, the roommates deliver some intense weekend escapades that make me wish I could gather my friends and head out to the Hamptons. Season 9 has been no exception, and each storyline has a bit of flavor. But which one ranks number one? Let’s take a look.
5. Can West Wilson win back Ciara Miller?
I developed a soft spot for West Wilson back on Season 8. Between the Midwest vibes and uncanny ability to cosplay Robin Williams, he was a keeper on the series. It didn’t hurt that he and Ciara Miller had a summer romance that most fans dream of. However, their relationship took a turn after West seemingly led the model on. Now, Season 9 has been all about his redemption arc. Fans have watched him be given the cold shoulder on the first night. But we’ve also seen Ciara actually saying goodbye to him during the last episode. Is there hope? West sure thinks there is. And honestly, I kinda of hope they can get back to the perfect summer friendship just without the hooking up.
4. Imrul Hassan’s faceless sexscapades on Summer House
There is something about Imrul Hassan’s revolving door of women that I can’t look away from. The man is a machine who seems to have little to no boundaries, even when his friend, Jesse Solomon, bursts through a closed door. I understand where Imrul is coming from, as he explained he had been an illegal immigrant growing up. So wanting to be open and explore is commendable. However, at the rate he is going, won’t he experience burnout? I’d also like to get to know Imrul, other than the sex god who hides his one-night stands from the cameras. Currently, I am starting to agree with Ciara that his constant loud sex is rather annoying and disrespectful to the rest of the house. Here’s hoping Imrul can turn his narrative around.
3. Carl Radke’s Summer House crush on Ciara Miller
May lightning strike me now, but there is something about Carl Radke’s crush on Ciara that is so pure. You can tell when the boys discuss how hot the model is, Carl becomes agitated. He knows you shouldn’t talk about a woman in such a way. The last episode showed Carl finally opening up. Dare I say the duo actually looks cute together? However, both have a checkered past. Ciara is reluctant to open up to anyone, but does have a good laugh with the Soft Bar founder. Both Summer House stars are major homebodies and prefer the company of close friends to partying in a nightclub. While I think Ciara will be flattered, I don’t believe she will be running into Carl’s arms anytime soon, especially with an activated and pregnant Lindsay Hubbard roaming the hallways.
2. Paige DeSorbo is embracing her boss bitch era on Summer House
I am loving Paige DeSorbo. Period. End of conversation. This bedloving, sh*t talking, founder of Snoozefest is the perfect role model for Summer House fans. Even though it was sad to hear that she and Craig Conover broke up after three years, she did it for all the right reasons. As fans are learning, Paige felt gaslit and dismissed by the Sewing Down South founder. And frankly, that doesn’t stand in today’s world. Paige understood that she needed to protect herself at all costs. The latest episodes showed her struggling with anxiety. Instead of being excited for her upcoming tour, she was worried Craig would lash out at her. Not cool, Craigy. But our girl is thriving. She recently attended the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books to promote her new bestseller.
1. Jesse Solomon’s Summer House romance with Lexi Wood
But perhaps the best Summer House storyline has to be the romance between Jesse and Lexi Wood. Firstly, I’m still recovering from how fast he fell for the model. Their entire relationship has felt like a rollercoaster of emotions. Between the constant phone calls, bad behavior, crying, and toe gate, these two don’t stand a chance. But here I am. I’m just a viewer sitting in front of my TV, waiting for it all to go terribly wrong.
Lexi has been hoodwinked, but the latest episode showed her finally standing her ground while at Snoozefest. She didn’t let Jesse get away with his tall tales. And it might be finally dawning on Jesse that this relationship with a 27-year-old isn’t exactly what he signed up for. However, she’s already met the parents, so it feels like Jesse has a large hole to dig himself out of if he ever wants to flirt with another girl again.
Summer House is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
