The Traitors Season 3, Episode 7 Recap: Alan’s Red Wedding

We’ve survived another week! Season 3 of The Traitors continued with a brand-new hour of murder and mayhem. In this episode, there was even a wedding!

Last week, the Traitors murdered Bob H and then Wes got banished at the roundtable. Fortunately, he didn’t have to get on his knees and beg like he did on House of Villains. Instead, he gave everyone a middle finger on his way out of the castle.

Boston Rob got through the roundtable by the skin of his teeth, but honestly, he was still in the hot seat this week. The facts are starting to add up, and he’s running out of places to hide. Keep on reading for the rundown on The Traitors Season 3, Episode 7, “Til Death Do Us Part.”

If you thought the Traitors were a dysfunctional family in last week’s episode, Episode 7 takes things to new extremes. Carolyn and Danielle were forced to make some difficult decisions as the walls closed in on Rob. Plus, Alan made the players face their fears in a creepy challenge that tested everyone’s willpower. Spoiler alert: Some of these reality stars don’t have any.

    No trust between Traitors

This week’s episode of The Traitors kicked off just like last week’s — with the three Traitors all standing around in the turret staring at each other in disbelief. The only issue is that this time, it’s 10 times worse. Rob narrowly escaped banishment. Carolyn dragged Danielle at the roundtable. Danielle voted for Rob. Where do they go from here? It turns out they didn’t know either.

In the turret, the three of them had no clue who to murder. They don’t trust each other, and with shields floating around, it’s impossible to settle on a direction.

For every name Rob listed, Danielle shut it down. Sam? Nope. Dylan? No. Ciara? Nah. The conundrum led Rob to ask the question, “What happens if the Traitors can’t agree?”

It didn’t seem like the Traitors were going to murder anyone, but Rob ultimately convinced the group to murder Derrick. In the turret, Rob said that letting him kill the Big Brother alum would help the Traitors build back their relationship. It’s a murderous little truce. They shook on it, but we know that doesn’t mean anything here.

Killing Derrick felt like a bold move from Rob. He just called him out at last week’s roundtable with some hard evidence, and now he’s dead? It’s so obvious that even Sandoval caught on to it, but whatever. Rest in peace, Detective Derrick.

While the players mourned the latest murder, Alan showed up at breakfast in a white suit that kind of made him look like a Scottish Colonel Sanders. It was amazing, and he told the players to get into pairs for the next mission.

The Colonel explained, “Your relationships will be put to the test in a very special ceremony, so be sure to dress up for the occasion.”

    The worst wedding ever

In Season 2, Alan made the players dress up for a funeral procession. This year, they’re dressing to the nines for a wedding. The players got dressed in red, and Alan put a veil over his suit. Sandoval even put on his finest top hat.

Alan explained that for this mission, each couple would go to the alter and compete in a head-to-head challenge. Each couple had to hold hands for eight minutes to earn $4,500. The couple that lasts the longest also wins a pair of shields.

That sounded easy at first, but then Alan added a twist that made it feel like we were watching Fear Factor. After the players held hands inside a glass box, Alan and his stooges started dropping ginormous millipedes on their hands.

Chrishell and Dolores were a pair, and the Selling Sunset star pulled her hand out of the box about two seconds into the challenge. Dolores was not happy about that. She looked at Chrishell and said, “Not good.”

That left Ciara and Boston Rob with a guaranteed pair of shields. They just had to make it through the rest of Alan’s “wedding gifts,” which got grosser and grosser every minute.

The millipedes graduated to scorpions. After the scorpions came a shower of mealworms, cockroaches, and crickets. The final round was getting a giant snake put on your shoulders. If you were watching really closely, you could see Ciara’s soul briefly leave her body when they put that snake on her. They don’t do this type of thing on Summer House!

“It’s nothing. It’s just a big … lump,” Rob told his partner, trying to calm her down.

Ultimately, everyone except for Chrishell and Dolores managed to last the full eight minutes. The rest of the players entered a sudden death round to fight for the shields. In the end, Sam, Ivar, Britney, Danielle, Ciara, and Rob won protection from the murder. The rest of the players? Well, they’re up for slaughter!

    A case builds against Britney

So far this season, Britney hasn’t been a huge factor in the game. She’s tried to lay low. She makes little jokes in her confessional, and that’s about it. That all changed this week thanks to Detective Derrick’s parting suspicion that she could be a Traitor.

Everyone at home knows that’s definitely not the case, but Dylan took the bad tea and ran right to Rob with it. That gave Rob the ammunition he needed to start building momentum to take down Britney.

The Survivor legend started making his rounds, trying to convince everyone that she had been framing him. Maybe she murdered Derrick because he was onto her? It feels like a stretch, but based on what happened with Wes last week, you never know.

This week’s roundtable was another frustrating one to watch. Some of these players are just so all over the place you can’t even try to make sense of it.

For example, Dylan kicked things off with his theory about how Britney was a Traitor. His main piece of evidence was, “Well, Derrick said so.”

That gave Rob the opening to go after Britney in the exact same way he went after Wes and Bob the Drag Queen. He got everyone sucked into his story. His slow, methodical way of presenting his evidence gets them every time. He’s lying, but it sounds so convincing.

When it was time to vote, that’s when things got extra whacky. First up was Chrishell, who randomly voted for Tom. It’s an astoundingly silly decision. Overall, this was just not a good week for her.

Ciara voted for Britney, and then Dylan randomly voted for Gabby. That’s another headscratcher from Zac Efron’s brother. We’re not sure what to say about this man at this point.

Finally, some players who were thinking with their noggins started voting for Rob. That included Sam, Ivar, Britney, Carolyn, and even Danielle. They all cast votes for Rob because it’s hard to deny the trail of evidence he’s left behind all season.

“I voted for you because I know Britney is a Faithful,” Danielle told her fellow Traitor.

With that vote, the great Boston Rob was banished from Season 3 of The Traitors. This time, it’s for real, but the players didn’t have too much time to celebrate. Alan hit them with a warning that the at-risk players will learn their fate at midnight. One of them will be murdered in a face-to-face meeting with The Traitors.

The Traitors continues with new episodes on Thursdays at 9/8c on Peacock.

TELL US – WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE TRAITORS SEASON 3, EPISODE 7? WERE YOU DISAPPOINTED TO SEE ROB EXIT THE COMPETITION? DO YOU THINK CAROLYN AND DANIELLE WILL WORK BETTER TOGETHER WITH HIM OUT OF THE PICTURE?
