When TV Guide Magazine asked me to write about my favorite episode of M*A*S*H, I suddenly realized I didn’t have one. The problem, I explained to a friend, is that there are 10 or 12 shows I really love and I can’t put any of them above the others. “All right,” my friend said, “then what are your 12 favorite shows?”
I wrote out a list, and there were 34 titles on the page.
