Netflix loves its real estate shows. The platform has invested in several real estate projects in the last few years, including Buying Beverly Hills and Owning Manhattan. If you’re a real estate junkie looking for a new series to binge, we have you covered. If you want luxury properties, cutthroat negotiations, and petty drama, this is the list for you.

Selling Sunset – 8 seasons and one of the Netflix OGs
Selling Sunset was one of Netflix’s first projects in the reality real estate genre. The show premiered in March 2019 and quickly developed a dedicated fanbase. The docuseries follows a group of incredibly good-looking agents at Jason and Brett Oppenheim’s luxury real-estate brokerage “The Oppenheim Group.” Selling Sunset strikes the perfect balance between real estate porn and juicy reality TV drama. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see two hot women fight in one of LA’s most sought-after properties?
With 8 seasons under its belt, Selling Sunset continues to draw in viewers and has secured its place as one of the most successful real estate reality shows on TV.
Buying Beverly Hills – 2 Seasons on Netflix, but now axed
Bravo fans were delighted when Netflix greenlit a reality show focused on RHOBH star Mauricio Umansky’s real estate brokerage The Agency. The show, which premiered in November 2022, focused on a group of agents at the California-based company. Mauricio’s appearances were sparse but his daughters Farrah Aldjufrie and Alexia Umansky occupied a larger role on the show. Farrah has worked at The Agency for years whereas Alexia was at the start of her career. It was fun watching her navigate the business and make some mistakes along the way.
Unfortunately, the show was canceled after two seasons but the episodes are still available to stream on Netflix.
Owning Manhattan – 1 season (renewed on Netflix)
Owning Manhattan is Netflix’s newest real estate show and the platform’s first series focused on the New York market. The show follows Million Dollar Listing star Ryan Serhant and a group of agents at his NYC brokerage. The show stands out from the pack for a myriad of reasons. For one, Ryan’s insider knowledge of the business is hard to beat. The man knows real estate and has sold some of the most impressive properties on the market. The location is another reason Owning Manhattan resonated with fans. There is nowhere like New York, after all.
Reality Tea caught up with Ryan ahead of the premiere. He spoke to us about what makes Owning Manhattan unique.
“For one, it’s the only New York City real estate show on TV anywhere in the world. It’s also Netflix’s first New York real estate show,” he said. “[It is] the craziest real estate you’ve ever seen. The most drama you’ve ever seen in a workplace reality TV show. And probably the realest real estate show you’ve seen.”
Selling the OC – 3 seasons for the Selling Sunset spinoff
Selling the OC is a spinoff of Selling Sunset. The Oppenheim Group opened another brokerage just 40 miles away from their LA location and Netflix jumped at the opportunity to create another California real estate show. If you like Selling Sunset, you’ll enjoy Selling the OC. It has the same special sauce and you’ll find yourself wondering how you watched 7 episodes in one sitting. The market may be different but Selling Sunset and Selling the OC feel like one in the same. The properties are insane and the agents look like Barbie dolls.
Selling Tampa – 1 season on Netflix
Selling Tampa is for the girls. The series follows an all-female real estate team at the Florida-based brokerage Allure Realty. The cast is diverse, dynamic, and never afraid to cause a little drama. The cast isn’t the only compelling part of the show. Fans may tune in for the drama, but they’ll stay for high-end real estate. The Tampa market is unique and unlike any other market captured on Netflix.
The series only lasted one season but don’t let that discourage you from checking it out. The first season was a lot of fun and featured some seriously stunning properties. I also enjoyed the focus on female entrepreneurship. Selling Tampa had all the components of a great Netflix reality show. It is a shame it didn’t get another season.
