Taylor Swift’s New Song Resembles Jonas Brothers Track But They Won’t ‘Pick a Fight,’ Says Source

One of Taylor Swift’s new songs reportedly resembled an old track by Jonas Brothers. Last week, the 35-year-old released her 12th album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which became an instant hit. However, speculations around the songs and lyrics have been rife.

Recently, a source claimed that TS12’s title song might have some resemblance to Jonas Brothers’ 2019 track, “Cool.” But, allegedly, the pop star siblings — Joe, Nick, and Kevin — do not want to turn it into a big deal.

Jonas Brothers would rather collab than clash with Taylor Swift because it’s ‘a war you don’t win,’ says source

Taylor Swift’s song, “The Life of a Showgirl,” has reportedly shown some resemblance to Jonas Brothers’ old track, “Cool.” Fans have apparently been comparing the retro-themed singles online. Moreover, a source told Rob Shuter that the boy band has been “aware” of the rumors.

“But you don’t pick a fight with Taylor Swift. That’s a war you don’t win,” the music insider noted. Jonas Brothers — comprising Joe, Nick, and Kevin — seem to “respect Taylor” and would “rather collaborate than clash” with her. Like a true sport, they have just shrugged off the speculations.

While fans have not let the matter go, the trio appeared to have moved on. Another source close to the boy band claimed, “If you’re going to sound like someone, sound like Taylor.”

Meanwhile, the title track of the album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” became a hit because it was a collab with Sabrina Carpenter. The two singers worked on a song together for the first time. The single gives a glimpse of how a showgirl lives her life with many ups and downs. Carpenter and Swift also give a shoutout to each other towards the end of the song.

The highly anticipated TS12 was released on October 3 with a total of 12 songs, including “Wood” and “Cancelled.”
