Donald Trump‘s bruised hand was reportedly spotted once again this week, appearing to be covered up with makeup. The President’s hand was photographed during the swearing-in ceremony of Markwayne Mullin.

Donald Trump appeared to have a patch of makeup on his right hand. He was photographed at the White House with Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin. Netizens speculate that the President used makeup foundation to cover up a bruise. It has often been spotted on previous occasions.

Trump’s apparent makeup-covered bruise made an appearance again on Tuesday when he swore in Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin as the new Secretary of Homeland Security. Photos captured what looked like a patch foundation on his right hand as the President shook hands with Mullin during the ceremony at the White House.

This is not the first time netizens have spotted makeup on Trump’s hand. There had been a visible bruise on his hand on multiple occasions before. After one such sighting in January 2026, Trump explained that he bruised his hand after he “clipped it on the table.” Speaking with CNN at the time, the POTUS shared, “I put a little — what do they call it? — cream on it. But I clipped it.”

Trump went on to explain that taking aspirin is a contributing factor to his frequent bruising. “I would say, take aspirin if you like your heart, but don’t take aspirin if you don’t want to have a little bruising,” the President said. He added, “I take the big aspirin, and when you take the big aspirin, they tell you, you bruise. The doctor said, ‘You don’t have to take that, sir, you’re very healthy.’ I said, ‘I’m not taking any chances.’”

Furthermore, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt gave a statement explaining the bruises. “President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day,” she said (via The Guardian).
