Alexis Bellino and John Janssen are tying the knot following their whirlwind nine months of dating. As seen in Season 18 of the Real Housewives of Orange County series, these two lovers have a few haters riding at their sides. But neither Alexis nor John care, as they have found their one, and that is the only thing that (correctly) matters. These two genuinely love each other, and their families, values, passions, and attitudes all match each other’s vibes. The first sighting of Alexis Bellino and John Janssen occurs – November 2023
Last November, everything was quietly moving along in this world, and then bam. A mutual friend of the then-unformed duo shared images of him and his buddies at the Quiet Woman. In the third picture sits Alexis. John’s arm is over her shoulders.
Many memorable RHOC moments have transpired at The Quiet Woman, including an infamous dispute between Shannon and Kelly Dodd in 2017. This pub is also well-traversed by Alexis. She has been a loyal patron here for years.
“November 18 is the day that John Janssen walked into my life. I met John at Quiet Woman. Shannon does not own Quiet Woman. I have been going there for over two decades,” Alexis quipped during the Season 18 premiere.
After John walked in and sat down at her booth, he and Alexis immediately hit it off, as she further explained, “We tried to fight the feelings. After week two, John and I knew that was it.”
John Janssen gives Alexis Bellino a Promise Ring – December 2023
Last Christmas, the internet went wild after Alexis posted an image of a ring on her finger. She posted this image using a slew of love-related hashtags, but one made us take a second look as Alexis typed #notengaged. Upon closer observation, her words tracked.
Her right hand held her new ring, not her left. As for her statement, Alexis wrote, “Words cannot. Actions do. I will no longer feel guilty. I will not apologize. Love will create its own story. I love you, Johnny J.”
The comments on this post failed to match her excited vibes. Therefore, they are now disabled. Likewise, bloggers everywhere picked up on this newly gifted promise ring, and many began tearing Alexis and John apart. Questions started forming, wondering where John got the money to pay for such a pricey gift and how this gift might affect Shannon.
But this ring had nothing to do with Shannon. Instead, this gift from John was his way of telling Alexis that he promised to love her for a long time.
Meghan King warns Alexis about love bombing – January 2024
Meghan King is no longer a Real Housewives star, but she still calls many of these hotheaded ladies her friends, including Alexis and Shannon. But after John gifted Alexis with a promise ring, Meghan grew concerned. Speaking exclusively to Page Six, Meghan played “Show the Shot or Take the Shot,” which saw her reading aloud her newest texts with Alexis.
These texts showed Meghan cautioning Alexis about the behaviors she saw in John, who Meghan has yet to meet in person. Meghan then explained her text chat with Alexis a bit deeper, noting that “[Alexis] just said, ‘Thank you for your love and support,’ because I was texting her like, ‘Be careful –– it seems like he’s love-bombing.’”
Knowing Johnny J better than any of us, Alexis shot Meghan down. In her since-expired Instagram stories, Alexis shared additional texts, which saw her asking Meghan, “Really??? I’m not only in shock. I’m completely heartbroken because I thought you were my true friend. John is not a narcissist, Meghan. Your information is wrong. I am disgusted and completely hurt by your actions.”
Alexis and John make their red carpet debut – March 2024
Fast forward to March of this year, and you will see Alexis and John making their red carpet debut as one. These two lovers attended the DirectTV Oscars Viewing Party, wearing complimentary shades of yellow and blue. This debut made Alexis anxious, she told Us Magazine. She was tired of the judgemental reactions to her new relationship with John, and she knew their debut would bring on the trolls.
“It started as a friendship, formed into more, and here we are. [And] social media really can be very evil. So it’s been a lot, but now, we finally decided. We’re taking the bull by the horns and going full force,” Alexis declared, speaking as firmly as she could.
If anyone has commented poorly on their posts, please know your hate was a building block. “It counteracted what they [the viewers] wanted to do, which is tear us down, and it [the hate] made us stronger,” Alexis stated, unbothered but likely bothered. How could anyone not be? Even still, Alexis and John walked the red carpet with their heads held high, no longer concerned about what anyone had to say.
Alexis reveals how compatible she and John are … in bed – June 2024
Alexis appeared on the June 14 episode of Two Ts In A Pod, ready to overshare everything she could about John. New love. Le sigh. But then Le woah, because Alexis went all in.
On the podcast, Alexis revealed that she and John have sex “more than” four times a day. “I told him, ‘I did not know human anatomy could do this,’” she joked. “I keep telling him I’m going to have to get, like, vaginal rejuvenation.”
She then clarified how they could come together (ahem) so often, as now, they “stay together almost seven nights a week.” Also, this is the best sex Alexis has ever had. But she ends things here, thinking of their “poor” kids who might one day listen. Excellent call, Alexis.
As for John, he digs everything Alexis. During an interview with Carlos King on his Reality with The King podcast, John said Alexis is “as beautiful on the inside as on the outside, and she brings out the best in me.” In addition, John thinks Alexis is “the best mother on the face of the Earth,” and on her three children, he loves “them all.”
The happy couple debut on RHOC Season 18 – July 2024
When RHOC Season 18 kicked off, Alexis came in like a wrecking ball for Johnny. Shannon is on a low, living out the consequences of her drunken actions, filming alongside her ex’s new love. Also, Shannon could have gone to rehab or taken a season off if things were too much for her. Bravo is a business, after all. These two will not be friends, but many of their costars are trying to be understanding of both sides of this coin.
There is one narrative, however, that will burn everything to the ground, according to Alexis. Allegedly, John has Ring camera footage of Shannon from the night of her DUI. They are threatening to release it, and this has Shannon seeing red. John’s lawsuit against her is equally troubling to Shann, but they have an entire season to film together, so hopefully, things will start settling soon.
Settling down is what Alexis wants to do. On air, her face lights up whenever she is talking about John. He is her one. As for her costars, Tamra Judge has noted how perfect these two are together. Their children get along, and they share the same passions.
For now, John is only popping up on RHOC via FaceTime.
John proposes and Alexis says yes – August 2024
This whirlwind romance came to a head just a few weeks ago. In July, Alexis told E! News that she and John were looking at rings together. She then expressed that their love “gets better every day.” They are “best friend[s],” and they each found someone “that we want to ride the rest of this life out with together. It’s pretty amazing,” she gushed.
A few beats later, John proposed, and he did so on the same date as their nine-month anniversary. Alexis then posted her engagement ring, writing, “I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we’re building with our kids. And the answer is 100000000% yes.”
In a relatable moment, Alexis posted another shot, penning, “My hair was frizzy, my nails are NOT DONE!!!! And my outfit was subpar. But the moment was pure perfection, in the most exclusive, secluded, intimate, loving way.”
