Artem Chigvintsev’s name has been plastered all over the news. And not because he is participating in Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars. Artem isn’t part of the season, and he has other business to handle. On August 29, Artem was arrested and charged with corporal injury to a spouse. He was released on $25,000 bail. And now the wheels of justice are slowly turning and Artem’s case rests in the hands of the District Attorney.
Artem Chigvintsev’s case is being reviewed by the District Attorney
The victim’s identity in this alleged domestic violence incident hasn’t been revealed. But Artem’s wife, Nikki Garcia, has asked for privacy.
Carlos Villatoro, the spokesperson for the Napa County District Attorney told TMZ that the case is being reviewed by their office. So far, there is no decision yet on charges the DWTS alum may be facing.
The office has to review evidence such as footage from the incident, photos, and statements from witnesses, along with any other evidence from the police investigation. After reviewing the case, the District Attorney will make a decision and then make a public announcement. Right now, Artem’s arraignment is set for November 4.
While Nikki and their son Matteo are staying at the family’s residence in Napa, Artem is staying with a friend. But there are reports that Nikki is already moving on from Artem. She was supposedly spotted without her wedding ring at her hosting gig in Las Vegas on September 2. Reportedly, Nikki also has feelers out for a divorce attorney.
