Margaret Josephs on Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas’ Tax Issues

Margaret Josephs on Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas’ Tax Issues

Margaret Josephs and Teresa Giudice have been at odds for years on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. One of the issues of contention between the ladies was Teresa’s marriage with Luis Ruelas. Marge questioned her co-star’s new love and his intentions from the beginning.

Last season on RHONJ, Margaret reacted to rumors that Luis was overspending Teresa’s Bravo paychecks. There was the never-aired scene in which Tre confronted her husband about his spending. Regardless of what was left on the editing room floor, Luis and Teresa’s tax troubles came to light. And Margaret reacted to the news during a recent interview.

Margaret Josephs calls RHONJ co-star’s Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas’ tax trouble “very sad”

“It’s very sad. I never wish ill on anybody,” Margaret exclusively told Us Weekly. “I don’t want anything bad for Teresa ever. And I never want anything bad to happen to her, and that’s why I always spoke up.”

Last month, the couple were fined more than $3 million in tax liens on their lavish New Jersey residence. According to court documents, Luis and Teresa allegedly owe $2.5 million and $303,000 seperately. In the wake of this news, Luis requested an extension on the $1 million loan awarded to the property. In one piece of good financial news, the couple settled a third debt.

Margaret called Teresa and Luis’ financial issues “unfortunate.” But she also feels “vindicated.” RHONJ fans will recall how Margaret brought up concerns about the couple’s finances last season. Teresa always fought against her co-star’s seemingly unwarranted claims.

“I feel vindicated. The fact is, everybody always said that ‘Marge wants to do something mean, wants to hurt somebody.’ No, Marge is actually protective and wants to say the truth and can sniff out something that’s not great,” Margaret explained. “I think I’m brutally honest, and I think people have a hard time receiving those things. No one wants to deliver unsavory news or no one wants to hear the hard truth. I never want to hurt somebody purposely. I don’t want bad things to happen to anyone. And when they do, I feel sad.”

Catch The Real Housewives of New Jersey streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

TELL US – SHOULD MARGARET FEEL “VINDICATED?” WHAT DO YOU THINK OF TERESA AND LUIS’ TAX LIENS?
