The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie continues to raise concern as the case approaches three months with limited visible progress. While authorities have not labeled it a cold case, new claims indicate that momentum may have slowed behind the scenes. According to a recent report, officials could be facing multiple investigative challenges as they work to uncover answers.
Nancy Guthrie case reportedly sees no ‘significant developments’
In a recent video update, journalist Brian Entin shared that the case has not seen any breakthroughs. Speaking from outside Nancy Guthrie’s home in Tucson, Arizona, he said it had been “day 88” since her disappearance and noted that investigators are still working through a large volume of information.
“I’m told that they’re really at a lot of dead ends behind the scenes,” Entin said in his video, citing a source close to the investigation. He added that while “thousands and thousands of tips” have come in, many are still being reviewed. According to the same source, there are currently “no suspects” and “no significant developments,” though the case remains active.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen at her home on the evening of January 31. Investigators have previously indicated that her disappearance may involve a “targeted” incident. Evidence reportedly recovered from the scene included small traces of blood on her front porch, later confirmed to belong to her. Authorities have also released doorbell footage of a masked individual who appeared to be tampering with a security camera. However, no identity has been confirmed publicly.
Meanwhile, the case has deeply affected those who knew her. A neighbor described the atmosphere in the community as “quiet” and filled with “sadness,” adding that “we all miss Nancy.” “We all would love to know what happened,” neighbor Aldine said in an earlier interview with Entin. Continuing, she expressed hope that someone might come forward with information. “Someone knows that man in the video,” she said.
