Woman Goes Viral For Taking Wine After WHCD Shooting Incident

In the chaotic aftermath of the shooting at the 2026 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, an unidentified woman was caught on camera picking up abandoned wine bottles as most rushed out or took cover. The video started a debate on social media platforms like X, with some calling out the act and others defending it.

Woman spotted snatching wine after WHCD shooting

In a rather offbeat development at the 2026 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, a woman was seen picking up wine bottles from the tables after gunfire rang out in the coveted event. Top officials, including President Donald Trump, were rushed out of the scene, while others, including invitees and journalists, took cover.

But an unidentified blonde woman, sporting a black fur coat, prioritized snatching bottles of wine from the table. The incident was caught on camera, and many went on to criticize this act. There was an abundance of wine left behind on the tables as the shooting took place quite early into the event.

“So, there you have press members STEALING wine bottles: this is who the press is! Repugnant!” one X user wrote alongside the video of the incident. Several others defended this claim. “Lol … in all fairness … I would have grabbed a bottle or two on the way out as well,” one user wrote, while another added, “They paid for their seats. The wine belongs to them. I bet they were starving.”

Other guests were also seen exiting with bottles of wine in their hands at the abrupt end of the marquee event. X user @ComfortablySmug posted a photo with several guests holding bottles of wine, with the caption, “Bro they are removing the journos from the ballroom, and journos are taking all the booze with them, two bottles at a time LMAOOOOO.”

CAA super-agent Michael Glantz also caught the attention of many as he was spotted eating his salad amidst the ensuing chaos. The attacker has been identified as Cole Allen, 31, and is set to be arraigned on April 27.
