‘Plathville’ Lydia Plath Shuts Down Hate About Her Husband

Welcome to Plathville just finished another tumultuous season. While the old family dramas have passed, now, Lydia Plath and her husband are catching a lot of heat from the family and, of course, from fans. However, Lydia isn’t just sitting back and taking it. She’s speaking up for herself and her husband. Keep reading to find out what she said.

Welcome To Plathville Puts Lydia In The Hot Seat

Now that Olivia Plath is out of the picture, it’s only natural that the show move onto the next married couple. That means Lydia Plath and her husband, Zac Wyse, were front and center for much of the season. Some of this had to do with the fact that she got married so fast that her family didn’t approve. It also just generally seems like they don’t like Zac.

He caught extra heat this summer when the family confronted him for always sharing his opinion when they didn’t want it. The family noted that he would tell them what games to play, what to drink or not drink, who to date, etc. This left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth and a bad edit on fans’ TVs. Of course, Lydia isn’t going to stand for the hate.

Lydia Plath Speaks Up For Her Husband

Welcome to Plathville star, Lydia Plath, didn’t let people get away with talking negatively about herself and Zac. Instead, she made a video on her Instagram sharing what was really going on during filming. In  the caption, she wrote:

    • I understand we’ve agreed to be in the public eye and that’s gonna come with peoples opinions and that’s that, but just thought I’d give some context and bring y’all in on the process and just how much it’s edited. Only like 5% of our actual day to day lives are on tv and the rest is drama free, just us loving life.

In the clip, she deep dives into the comments and questions she has been getting about Zac. Especially one clip in which Zac interrupts her in an interview.

“I don’t watch the show. I don’t need to see an edited, dramatized version of something I already lived through, but I have gotten lots of messages and I did see a clip that I thought it would be good to bring you guys in on some context,” she says.

She clarifies, saying that they had been filming for 14 hours that day and she was emotionally drained. Not only that, but Zac had to be up to work in just six hours. He wasn’t interrupting her because he was being mean. Lydia notes he could answer the question better and quicker than she could. She also says that this is a normal part of being married, and they can grow from situations like these.

    What Do The Fans Think?

While she seems to be very transparent and happy in the video, some fans don’t seem to like her or her husband. One comment even seems to be insinuating that Zac is to Lydia what Olivia was to Ethan Plath.

    • “Get off social media! Isn’t that ungodly”
    • “Your husband is slowly creating a wedge between you and your family.”

However, not everyone was mean to Lydia. Some understood where she is coming from and were supportive in their comments.

    • “Girl… you and Zack navigate your own journey and find out what fits YOUR marriage… because there is no telling how many failed relationships these naysayers have been in… always use your voice and communicate with each other… and don’t just hear each other…. LISTEN… Live laugh love and be happy!”
