Everything Shep Rose Said About Relationship With Sienna Evans

Southern Charm Season 10 is a change of pace for Shep Rose. Usually, he’s one of Charleston’s biggest heartbreakers and philanderers. But this year, Shep is chasing after his supposed girlfriend Sienna Evans like a puppy dog. Some viewers think this disastrous relationship is Shep’s Karma, while others feel bad for him. But most of all, viewers cringe at how awkward and confusing their dynamic is. Now, Shep’s comments off the show help to shed some light on what exactly was going on between him and Sienna.

Shep Rose called his relationship with Sienna Evans “humbling” at Bravo FanFest

While promoting Season 10 at Bravo FanFest in November, Shep admitted he was single. Already, he let fans know the romance teased in Season 10’s trailer didn’t work out. “Long distance is tough,” he explained. “It was very much loving,” he insisted of the relationship. Now that we’ve seen their dynamic on the show, some viewers may question that part.

Ultimately, Shep also described his relationship with Sienna as “sad in the end.” When the Access Hollywood interviewer asked if he meant that he got dumped, Shep said, “Something like that.” He called the experience with Sienna “humbling.” However, looking on the bright side, he also said it’s good to be humbled sometimes.

“Usually it’s my fault,” Shep said about his breakups, adding, “I’m a dumbass.” Shep also shared on a panel that, after splitting with the 26-year-old Sienna, he bumped up his age minimum on Raya to 28.

However, his co-stars were a little more blunt about the relationship. At the Season 10 premiere, they described Sienna as a Southern Charm fangirl who tricked Shep. They also claimed that Sienna secretly had a boyfriend the whole time.

Shep explained why he took a break from Sienna on Two Ts in a Pod

In a December appearance on Two T’s in a Pod, Shep admitted he took a break from Sienna amidst filming. According to Shep, the relationship broke down over a plane ticket. He wanted Sienna to come visit his family. Initially, he thought Sienna would pay for her way there. At the last minute, however, Sienna asked him to pay for her ticket.

Shep did as asked, but he didn’t appreciate the switcharoo from Miss Bahamas. So he confronted her about it. She responded that, where she comes from, “the man takes care of everything.” Shep’s ego was bruised, considering he bragged to everyone about how successful she was. They took a break for about a month. According to Shep, Sienna instigated giving things another go, as she texted him first.

It wouldn’t be the last air travel-related drama in their relationship. On the cast Bahamas trip, Shep was disheartened when Sienna didn’t pick him up from the airport.

What Shep said about Sienna on the Southern Charm After Show

Shep and the Southern Charm cast unpacked his extremely awkward Bahamas reunion with Sienna on the After Show. Craig Conover said he felt “misled” by Shep about the seriousness of their relationship. Especially after Shep revealed they’d only seen each other in person about six times. Once Sienna walked into their hotel room, it was evident she and Shep had no chemistry. But Craig didn’t put it all on Shep, and called Sienna “disingenuous.”

Meanwhile, Shep appeared to argue that Sienna was the one who misled him. He claimed she was “so excited” about the cast coming to the Bahamas. As he tells it, she even said she’d meet with the tourism board. But they arrived to little fanfare.

However, Shep knew something was up. A week before the trip, Sienna called and said they needed to have a conversation. Shep agreed, but insisted it be on camera. Shep wanted viewers to see “the real, honest, raw things” in his life. He called himself “completely honest and open” and someone who doesn’t “obfuscate” things. Or, in other words, he doesn’t hide things. But he said Sienna was the opposite. “She was being opaque.”

In hindsight, Shep didn’t disagree with the theory that he wanted to recreate what he had with Taylor Ann Green.

Things may not have worked out with Sienna, but there’s still potential for romance in Shep’s future. Standout newbie Molly O’Connell has a crush on him. And lots of viewers are rooting for these two to get together.

Southern Charm is available to stream on Peacock.
